Budget:
[2,500-3,000] Hello , guys I am trying to get a pc that's capable of playing games at 4K smoothly or close . I have never owned a pc b4 so I don't want to go through the trouble of building one . Can someone with knowledge here build one for me?(: I would only use it for gaming and surfing the internet .. no video editing or stuff like that . Just the pc no monitor or peripherals |

Not sure we're too late, considering your posts, but for high end 4k gaming, a sli setup would be needed. Here's a great place to start...
Configuration Code: 1576316 Total Price with Instant Savings: $3,626.00 Direct Load URL: https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=1576316 Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Digital Storm Apollo (White) Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0GHz (Codename Skylake) (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core) Motherboard: ASUS Z170-PRO GAMING (Intel Z170 Chipset) (Up to 5x PCI-E Devices) System Memory: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz Digital Storm Performance Series Power Supply: 1000W EVGA 1000 GQ <br><strong></strong> Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Optical Drive: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) (Internal) Storage Set 1: 1x SSD (500GB Samsung 850 EVO) <br><strong></strong> Storage Set 2: 1x Storage (1TB Western Digital - Black Edition) <br><strong></strong> Storage Set 3: - No Thanks RAID Config: - No Thanks RAID Card: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Graphics Card(s): 2x SLI Dual (GeForce GTX 1080 8GB (EVGA ACX 3.0) (VR Ready) <br><strong></strong> Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio HPC Processor: - No Thanks Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 2: Corsair H115i - 280mm Liquid CPU Cooler (Fully Sealed + No Maintenance) <br><strong></strong> HydroLux Tubing Style: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected HydroLux Fluid Color: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected Cable Management: Premium Cable Management (Strategically Routed & Organized for Airflow) Chassis Fans: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: Remote Controlled LED Lighting System (Multiple color options and lighting effects) <br><strong></strong> Airflow Control: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock CPU - Up to 4.4GHz (Depends on Cooling and Motherboard) <br><strong></strong> Boost Graphics Card(s): - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Factory Reset Feature (Restore Windows + Drivers) (Partition up to 50GB of Storage) Virus Protection: FREE: McAfee AntiVirus Plus (1 Year Service Activation Card) (Not Pre-installed) ($35 Value) Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks Branded Gear: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 15-20 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty (3 Year Labor & 1 Year Part Replacement) It's over your budget, but 4k gaming at max graphics can get expensive. The single gtx 1080 build BOTA showed you will certainly play at 4 k at a decent frame rate if settings are tweaked down. Max graphics isn't needed for very good gaming. Depends what you want. Hope this helps. |

Yep, the single 1080 will play 4K. If you drop the sli, you can also change the power supply to a 750watt, not the B1, but the other for another $34. A gold vs bronze box with double the warranty and fully modular wiring.

A power supply is rated by its efficiency, the percentage of the input volts from the wall it actually outputs to the computer. An example..a 600 w psu at 80% efficiency would draw 750watt from the wall at full load. This is very general.. Basically, a higher efficiency box is constructed of better quality capacitors, etc to achieve the efficiency and with it you get a longer warranty. Gold might be 90% at partial load and the Bronze 80%.
Fully modular wiring means all the cables from the psu, power supply unit, are plug in at the box. A semi modular is the 24 pin and 6/8 pin cpu cables are hard wired and the rest plug in. No modular means all the wires are hard wired in. Benefit of fully modular is a neater look, as only the cables needed are used and if you ever change the psu because it dies, you just have to unplug the cables at the psu, plug in just the box and no wiring to snake through the computer. |

I know you are in a rush but I decided to wait for a 1080ti in hopes to save money vs two 1080sli because as soon as I order my 2nd DS unit it will come out.

Rumor is, the 1080ti will be out January or February, but we'll see. It doubt it will be as strong as sli 1080, but it might give you all you need for 4k gaming, without an sli setup. I'm all for single card if it meets the needs.

Yes, the Titan X Pascal would work. It is the strongest card and might even inch out the new 1080 ti if some rumors are true.

The 750 watt is good to go. 600-650 is what testers have recommended as minimum. You could go 850 watt just to make sure, I personally would, but that's me.
