I just got it and my hard drive was out of place. HDD. I went to go plug it back in, heard a click and it still will not show up.

When you pluged it back in was the pc pluged in teh wall? I'm not sure what you mean when you say you heard a click?
I hope your pc or hdd was not damaged in the shipping sounds like it had one heck of a ride. things to try is after you make sure you pluged in both the data and power cable to the hdd: 
go to the bios and see if you see it there. if you see it there then in bios you need to go and make sure your boot sequence is set to boot off of your hdd, if not make sure it is, and then you also need to make sure that ahci is enabled for your hdd in bios also. If after all of that it still does not boot then we need to look at some other stuff, or send the pc back in for repair. Edited by DST4ME - 18 Jul 2016 at 5:06pm |

One more question. First of all, when I try to go to my Nvidia control panel, it says that I am not using a display attached to a gtx graphics card. I am... Second, Minecraft on high is running at around 50 fps. I have a i7-6700k and a gtx 1080. That can't be right. I turned off vsync. Lastly, on my processor info, it says I am only running at 4.0 ghz. I ordered OC to 4.8.

Your processor will speed up as the load gets higher, where are you looking at cpu info?
I think your system is running on the integrated gpu, go to bios and enable the nvidia and/or disable the intel integrated one. Or try connecting to a different port on the card, how are you connected to the card right now? |

Put the cpu under heavy load with linx and then check cpu speed while linx is working with cpu-z. Have a look here and get the both of those

Ok so we disabled the built in graphics. It is now showing gtx 1080. Still only getting around 100 fps on Minecraft and around 3 on Arma 3. I will put it under load.

Alright, so rig just crashed. We got it back up. Looking through some Reddit forums, i found a guy with a similar problem to ours. His problem was windows 10 wasn't updated, so i updated it (
 ) We're gonna try out ARMA again and see if that gets us anywhere. I'll update you here in a sec.

Did you have a chance to see the cpu speed in cpuz before it crashed?
Don't compare your problem with other's. If linx crashed your system that can mean a few things. when you are running linx don't run anything else. try again and let me know. To help move things along lets stay on one path otherwise its gonna be difficult to move forward, so stick with linx for now. Your oc is set in the bios we don't need to see it in windows, but linx should not crash a system. if you are oced then your oc maybe unstable, as long as your temps are fine. yeah as far as that goes, everything looked fine to me. CPU was doing ok, I was running other things in the bkg so I'll retry w/o that. IDK if this helps, but when i tried to run ARMA again, the cpu was running @ ~91% on the menu with all graphics set to high.

Run Linx again, Click the "all" option next to memory and let it run for 20 times. keep an eye out on cpuz for speed, keep an eye out on hwmonitor for temps and don't run anything else other than linx.

alright so it crashed on me again. I was running the programs you instructed, the cpu speed seemed to be running at max capacity and the temps are running pretty high (99-210f, depending on the place.) We are going to call DS and speak with a rep tomrrow morning, probably to have it sent back and replaced. Thanks for all your help, have a good night.

Slow down boss, Can you give me a screenshot of your hwmonitor so I can look at your temps please.
If your pc crashed then they/you just have to lower the oc on the cpu a bit, not send it back to get replaced, there is nothing wrong with it for it to be replaced if all that has to be done is to lower the oc. Never gave me the screenshot of cpu-z. |

Turns out, he set it up with the DVI in the mobo.
Still, now when I go to play Arma 3, I get an error saying that my adapter does not support Direct X 10. I am still thinking that the integrated graphics is being used. How do I disable it through BIOS. I already did through windows. |

It is 100% ok now. Uninstalled all 1080 drivers, installed the newest version,and the cpu is running at a nice 94f while under heavy load. Getting around 200 fps on Arma now.

Yep! I may eventually contact you on how to reduce the OC. It crashed last night but he had around 10 programs running at once and thats when it was running so hot. Thank you so much for all your help

No Problem, to lower the oc just contact DS and ask them to do that, as rule I don't mess with DS's oc otherwise I would have to redo everybody's lol, I have ocd, it has to be perfect.

My PC shut off again. It is actually surge protection according to the restart message. I think I have a faulty power strip. Plugged into wall and everything is fine.
