New here, Just put order in on my new Velox. Config below. Just requested to overclock the cpu to 4.8Ghz. But reading theres not much additional performance gain. Whats everyones thoughts? Also, would love to hear comments on my Velox configuration. I hope I chose wisely! Hi stricky, congrats on your order.
Since you asked, I would have recommended the gtx 1080 for ultrawide 1440p but the 1070 is still very good gaming. The 1070 is a great card. The 4.4ghz overclock isn't needed since the i7-7700k turbos to 4.5 anyways. The 4.8 option would give you a bit of a bump but not much. That is an excellent build so even no changes gives you a dynamite rig. |

My pleasure.
Chances are by the time you want to upgrade the card, a new generation will be out anyways. More performance, less power usage and cheaper, if trends continue. |
