Ah hahaha. Honestly, I have 0 to no respect for AMD right now. They've rebranded the same GPU for the past two generations (making it a three generation old chip). On top of other issues currently.

I know nvidia did it in the past... and I didn't use them for a good minute either. But now, ah hahaha RIP AMD. There is already talks of them branching away from both CPU and GPU's. Making two different companies to handle cpu's and gpu's.

The only down side is, if Nvidia keeps this up, it's only a matter of time until AMD either sells off their cpu/gpu market or goes bankrupt. That is actually the absolute worst thing that could happen to any of us. Then nvidia has 0 competition and pricing beware.

The UK has officially started dropping prices of the GTX 980 Ti. With the reference version costing roughly $550-$570 (or 509 Euro's).

Please... please come to 'merica.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if the price drops came to America.  I'm skeptical it will though.  The European prices for the 980TI were through the roof so it may be more of a bit of a market correction than anything else.

Edit - spelled "roof" as "rough".

We have not seen anything come in for price drops on the cards. Looks like NVIDIA is quite happy with their stance on the performance/value overall.

With the 980ti 'ruling the roost' they dont have to drop prices.   I wouldn't.

They're doing it purely to hurt amd. And we most likely won't see it here in the U.S. But we can order from Europe and end up paying less than us prices. Since we don't pay vac tax, and we can get past customs in terms of import tax from time to time. You can end up saving some money by playing the system.

Nvidia isn't trying to adjust price/performance ratios. They are purely take jabs at amd.
