Will DS include (by request) a document showing the results of their in depth QA on a customers computer? What they tested (test cases) with actual results?

Being a QA manager for over 20 years, I often do provide this information to my clients because we do the testing we say we do.. and regardless of the results, some of our clients understand and appreciate being informed at that level. I know I do. We survive our audits because we can be transparent in our QA. Thanks in Advance :)

Excellent question. In the mortgage industry, we provided our clients with a list of items required for their loan approval and closing along with the dates those items were verified and put to bed. It would be nice to see what took place during the build and testing process with my computer; what came up, what was done about it and when. Thanks for bringing this up! Never would have thought of it.

It would also provide a baseline from which to evaluate if the system is working as it left DS in later years. Nice! Strong

I believe DS holds the testing "close to the vest" for competitive reasons. They'll give you the final over clock and a temp or two, maybe name a program like AIDA64, but not a detailed list of the programs and procedures.   Very competitive out there.

Alex could give a more official answer.

We unfortunately do not share our QA process on paper. A majority of it is all dynamic and based with step-by-step checks our team performs on QA workstations. We have plenty of cross checks across departments, when mistakes are found, they get reported automatically as well.

Thanks for the replies. I'll put in a more formal request directly as suggested. It's a value add for the customer, zero risk from DS's perspective.

There's nothing proprietary about disclosing how "MY" computer measured up to some industry standard benchmarks.

I wouldn't suggest that they disclose proprietary process, tools or techniques, just the output of that process.

Our QA shop takes pride in showing the customer just how much work we did to ensure their product exceeds their expectations. It's how I justify my department's existence to the rest of the company, and more importantly our clients. Just food for thought..

Edited to add: Sorry Alex I saw your reply come in after I posted this, so the above wasn't necessarily directed to you. Request denied in any event. If you guys have a suggestion box sort of thing, maybe pass this on if you would.
