Hello,
I have a 1920x1080 laptop monitor with a GTX 680M but lately I have been using 1366x768 resolution in Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes to get more FPS at a higher quality. My question is, Do I only need to adjust the resolution from 1920x1080 to 1366x768 in-game or should I go into my Intel Graphics Properties and change my laptop's native resolution to 1366x768 first? My display is connected to the Intel graphics by the way and not my GTX 680M, otherwise I would have gone through the Nvidia Panel instead. Thanks for your help. |

Hi HAWK,
Your monitor only has one native resolution. When you change the resolution from its native resolution you introduce distortion. The signal comes to the monitor at 1920x1080 and the computer has to scale/interpret the pixels if you change the resolution. This causes distortion. You want the signal and monitor to be pixel perfect so there is no scaling. Frank Edited by FrankW - 31 Aug 2015 at 2:33pm |

Should I change my monitor resolution to 1366x768 before I adjust the game's resolution to 1366x768 and just switch back to the native resolution of 1920x1080 whenever I'm done gaming? Or do I just need to switch the game's resolution for the increase in FPS?
