If an installed game is on a HDD will it run slower versus installing it on an SSD?

Only if the game is loading screens during game play. Then only certain ones. It will smooth out the play. SSD in general is just a smoother experience.

SSD will bootup faster than hdd, and it helps with some lags. Best to keep games on ssd. use hdd for storage.

SSD's transfer rates are amazing compared to HDD's but more important the access time of an SSD is a microsecond vs milliseconds on the HDD....put simply an SSD's access time is 1000x faster than a mechanical hard rive...
So the more files you have the more benefit an SSD will show.. SSD's are the single most amazing upgrade anyone can do on a PC (assuming they upgrade an HDD).... nothing comes close :) |
