Are you sure your ram is compatible back and forth between the 2 rigs?
Assuming it is, and you are gaming at 1440p then try this 1768397 If your res is lower then 1440p, then go with 1070. As for my thoughts: Today I was thinking if I could fly but had to turn in to a bird, would I want that? Edited by DST4ME - 01 Nov 2017 at 12:44pm |

I am sure the ram is cross compatable.
Not sure however as to how to load that config?... new here. The 1080 is for futureproofing though i am aware its a bit overpowered for 1440p |

Here’s DST’s build...The config number is different but all the same parts.
Configuration Code: 1768447 Total Price with Instant Savings: $2,696.00 Direct Load URL: https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=1768447 Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Digital Storm VANQUISH 7 Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K (6-Core) 3.70GHz Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING (Intel Z370 Chipset) (Up to 3x PCI-E Devices) System Memory: 8GB DDR4 3000MHz Digital Storm Performance Series Power Supply: 750W EVGA SuperNOVA (750 G) (Fully Modular) Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Optical Drive: - No Thanks Storage Set 1: 1x SSD M.2 (500GB Samsung 960 EVO) (NVM Express) Storage Set 2: 1x Storage (3TB Seagate / Toshiba) Storage Set 3: - No Thanks RAID Config: - No Thanks RAID Card: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Graphics Card(s): 1x GeForce GTX 1080 8GB (Performance Edition) (VR Ready) Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio HPC Processor: - No Thanks Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 2: Corsair H115i - 280mm Liquid CPU Cooler (Fully Sealed + No Maintenance) HydroLux Tubing Style: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected HydroLux Fluid Color: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected Cable Management: Premium Cable Management (Strategically Routed & Organized for Airflow) Chassis Fans: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: - No Thanks Airflow Control: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: Option Not Available Boost Processor: Stock Factory Turbo Boost Advanced Automatic Overclocking Boost Graphics Card(s): - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Factory Reset Feature + Windows Installation CD (Partition up to 50GB of Storage) Virus Protection: FREE: McAfee AntiVirus Plus (1 Year Service Activation Card) (Not Pre-installed) ($35 Value) Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: CM Storm Devastator II Bundle (Red LED Edition) (Gaming Keyboard & Gaming Mouse) Mouse: - No Thanks Branded Gear: - No Thanks Priority Build: Please Prioritize: Ship Within Four Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty (3 Year Labor & 1 Year Part Replacement) You click on Load Config on the top and enter the number. I agree going with the 750 watt G psu. The 600 watt is enough but I like more headroom plus the G series is Gold efficiency and fully modular, meaning the cables plug in for easy swapping the box just in case. Plus better warranty, although I’m not sure what the 600watt is. Edited by bprat22 - 01 Nov 2017 at 2:13pm |

Hi Beloit911,
I see you have the badge so does that mean that you already placed your order? If you have, congratulations and welcome to DS. The Vanquish line is pretty much ready to go so the processing/shipping should be short and you should be enjoying it soon. As to thoughts, I try to avoid them. Either get a headache or in trouble when I have them. |

Indeed i have ordered. However they were out of stock on the gtx 1080... so i'm either waiting on it or going to a 1080ti. obviously a larger power supply needed then though.

Great Build !!
Beastly Parts always make for a Beastly system. I know parts are parts but there is just something special about a Digital Storm Build. I have purchased from two other suppliers and there really is no comparison. You will see. You will be happy.. Just remember to post the review with photo's |
