Three more questions.
I take it the little blue pulsing light strip along the edge of my Apollo are just for show? Same for the 5 little red lights flashing on my motherboard just above my graphics card? Also, is each DS computer supposed to come with motherboard, graphics card, sound card and other documentation? I only got a booklet for the chassis and a page or two of setup documentation. I coulda checked what the little blue and red lights were for if I had documentation for the major components... Edited by Varl - 20 Feb 2017 at 6:56am |

The 5 red leds below the cpu is a normal part of the mobo. That mobo might also have a light strip along the back that is part of the audio show, but not 100%.
The blue light is the internal lighting you picked in the config. There is probably a red toggle switch on the back to turn it on/off, unless you picked the remote lighting. I would think a motherboard manual,, etc would be included, but manufacturers are more and more requiring you to download any documentation you want. DS ships what they get from the manufacturer, so its up to the manufacturers what you get. |

I found my motherboard, graphics card, power supply and chassis documentation. No Soundblaster booklet, but I can live without that. Thanks again bprat.

Good to know you got the docs. Can't beat having actual paper to refer to.

I shut down and plugged in my old HD and rebooted, but once I came back to Windows, no third HD was found in My Computer. I'm pretty sure I connected it to correct connector on the MB; the connectors matched. Do I have to add the third HD in bios before it can be seen? It doesn't seem to be as pnp as we thought, bprat. Heh. Any ideas?
Also, it seems I lost one of those flashing red lights on my MB already. Heh. |

Make sure a power cable and SATA cable are connected to your HDD.
Try a different SATA port on the mobo, even a different colored one meaning a different SATA controller on the mobo. Go to Disc Management. Does it show there? If not then you have a hardware issue like bad drive, bad cable etc. if it shows in Disc Management and it doesn't have the blue stripe in it, then right click the empty space and initialize or allocate. Good luck. |

I'll try that tonight. I suspected I might need a power cable too, but don't remember unplugging one when I removed it from my old PC. The power connector on the HD is male, so I'd need a rectangular 8-pin female on that end and not sure which gender, configuration or pin count on the other. One of these 8-pin to 6-pins perhaps?
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200420 I have one of these for the SATA connector already. http://www.unicomp.am/products?page=shop.product_details&product_id=1225&category_id=139 Thanks again bprat. Edit. I think I was looking at the wrong connector. I found the power connector on the HD. Now to find an actual power cable... Edited by Varl - 23 Feb 2017 at 5:13am |

Your power supply should have extra 15 pin SATA power cables tye -wrapped in the harness. Just free them up and plug into your HDD, next to the SATA data cable. Your second link is for the data not power cable.
Have fun. |

Drive G is up and running. That extra power cable they sent worked great.
