So awhile back i made an announcement which you can read here:

I know i said i would keep y'all updated on what i was going to do and i decided that i was going to build myself a computer. Already got the case and cpu just have to wait a bit before i can get the rest of the parts.

I had honestly thought about buying another one from here but i wanted to have an experience of building myself a pc and i know it will be a very good learning experience as well.

I'll of course still be here helping out and what not., I'm not going anywhere.

I've done it three times.  It can be both fun and frustrating.  I will not build another, but it is a good thing to do it at least once.

Ive built 4; this time I wanted full water cooling and was leery to fiddle with it. Had a x9 wide case picked out and all. Let us see build pics as you progress !

I'm not 100% sure it would be ok, as the forums is more focused towards our systems (pre-built) by us. We don't really want to begin starting threads where customers are starting to build their own here and asking for help and posting progress...

It's a challenge, as the forums are a nice place to have any computer related discussion. @ ArkansasWoman777, feel free to post pictures of your finished built, but if things take direction of more people posting help to build their own, we might need to prevent that in the long term.

Figured i would give an update as i will post a picture later on. But i got my pc built and got it to turn on. Now just to get it to boot as it doesn't show a boot device....lol

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/g3s44C is the parts i used. I really wanted a 1070 but Microcenter didn't have the monitor i wanted in stock and i didn't want to pay over 500 on a monitor so i settled for a Rx 480 and the MG248Q

Hi Arkansas.  Congrats on the build, but looks like you have an issue ?

If you don't see a boot device I'm assuming you can get to Bios ?

Check the SSD for both connectors, the Sata  from the psu and the Sata data cable to the drive and the other end to the SATA port on the mobo.  Try different Sata on the mobo.

I can get into the bios, i may try another port on the mobo and see if that works. If not i might take it to a local pc shop and let them look at it

I'll try that in a little bit. Also when i first turned it on i couldn't believe how quiet it was even with the corsair cooler as people have mentioned it can be loud.

Make sure you're booting with an OS disc in the drive.   Bios should still see the drive either way, but never say never.

Well the second cable to the ssd wasn't plugged in don't know how i missed that but i did. Now to install the OS course i'm having an issue with that but i think i'll get it worked out. Also here is a picture of my masterpiece

Thanks, and lol i think they are miles ahead of my cable management. Also on the bright side at least i installed the cooler correctly as it didn't skyrocket the temps in the bios. It stayed around 27C

Got windows 10 installed yesterday, had issues though so i took it to a local PC shop to have them install it. Apparently due to the CPU fan error i was getting it wouldn't finish properly? So they took the cable that goes into the pump into one of the CPU fan ports and they got it working.

I haven't done any gaming on it yet but on idle my CPU is around 20 degrees. On the noctua that i had the idle was usually around 29 or 30 degrees.

Also windows 10 is pretty nice, gonna take a bit getting use to

I've been really pleased with Windows 10.

Though I also tried to use release build Vista, so I have low standards. LOL
