Hello everyone, I am interested on the vanquish level 3, its a little bit overbudget for me but its fine. The thing is, does the power supply at least can support a  EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Graphics Card ‑ 6 GB GDDR5 and another maybe 8 gb of RAM as upgrades in the future? The RAM sticks on the level 3, is it 4gb x 2? or 8gb x 1? is there gonna be an empty RAM slot for adding RAM later on? I have been saving for a while now since they dont offer the AMD lines anymore on the vanquish, this time, I am going to press the BUY button...Thank you all Big%20Smile

system ram: it's 2x4GB and room to expand with 2 more 4GB modules; however, i've had compatibility issues with mix-matched sets even when they're the same make and model.  it's better to get whatever capacity you want from the same batch.  8 GB should be fine for gaming needs.

power supply:  a 750w psu is more than capable for any single gpu card.

So db, you mean the PSU of the vanquish level 3 can even handle up to a gtx titan? Im fine with single GPU set up anyway. I am gaming on a 1080 p 24" monitor

The 750watt psu can easily handle the Titan X. A 600-650 watt would do it, so overhead is very comfortable.

The Asus z170-k mobo in the Vanquish lvl 3 has 4x DIMM slots.   It comes with 2x 4gb so you'll have another 2 slots for added ram.

As of last week they were using the Asus, but you're right, both are listed which gives them flexibility in what they can get. But, both would have the 4x DIMM slots being full size ATX boards.

a power supply is at its most efficient in the 40-80% load range, so a 600w psu would be the minimum i would go with for a single Titan X.  the other thing is the efficiency rating of the specific psu in question.  you can generally get an idea of this by its "platinum", "gold", "bronze", etc. nomenclature.  all psu's are capable of delivering its maximum rated power; efficiency determines how much power is needed from the wall to get there.  a 90% efficient psu (a platinum rating) means that all along its power curve it will only require a 10% overhead (at most) to reach the wattage necessary to power your system.  so, if you need all 600w the system will draw 660w from the wall, if you only need 500w the system will draw 550w from the wall.  the extra 60w can't be used and ends up as heat loss.  a more efficient psu saves you money on your electric bill, is more thermally optimal, etc.

Isn't that interesting. Maybe Alex needs to clarify if the Vanquish 4, lvl 3&4 will operated in SLI. I was surprised that there was no information on the motherboard on the DS site other than a picture of the Asus board.

So, the answer is "Probably" but we should wait to hear from Alex or the team before a definitive statement on the V4 Lv3.

The specs show an overclock of 4.4 which is a good, stable clock.

the Vanquish line is currently using a motherboard that is "crossfire ready", which means it's compatible with an AMD multi-card config, NOT SLI (Nvidia's multi-card graphics solution) config.  unfortunately they have paired this motherboard with an Nvidia graphics card.  that means buyers will have no expansion with graphics, unless they replace the default card with 2xAMD video cards or the mobo with an "sli-ready" one.
