Hi Hommeg100...... Any monitor for the most part will do. Dell and Asus make good picks. What you want to do is match the video card to the monitor resolution. For example, if you get the Vanquish level 2 with the gtx 1060 video card, a 1920x1080 resolution monitor will play real nice. Most cards have HDMI and DVI ports so get a monitor with HDMI or DVI compatability and the cable with it to avoid having to use adapters. DisplayPort is another very common monitor to video card hookup.
Hope this helps. |

Best way to get the most bang for your buck is to get a pc that maxes your monitor, otherwise you can endup paying for power you will never see or notice.
Having said that, what gpu is in the one you want to get? |

Hi Hommeg100,
Congratulations on getting your feet wet on the gaming pc arena. You have come to the most consumer friendly pc manufacturer and active forum that you can get. You will probably do best with a 1920x1080p monitor. The physical dimensions (370mm) have no bearing on performance, not to say that the more powerful gpus are usually larger physically because of cooling requirements. Good luck and keep us informed. That is a nice monitor, however it is more suitable for an AMD gpu since it has FreeSync. You want G-Sync for NVIDIA cards. The monitors with G-Sync are a bit more expensive. The Vanquish line comes with NVIDIA cards. Hope this is helpful. Others with more knowledge will explain the difference with more detail than I can.

So does that mean I have to get a g-sync monitor? Or is the one I showed you still work for the vanquish 7 and it’s just not suitable or nah ? But I would be grateful if you can recommend me some g-sync monitors from dell and ASUS or what ever is compatible with the vanquish which is a decent price lol😆

With an Nvidia video card like the gtx 1050 you can still use a Free-sync monitor, but the Free-sync feature won't be used to match the frame rates. Not needed but some swear by G-sync for Nvidia even on lower performing cards. I have no experience with it.

Misread your post and removed mine, apparently not fast enough. For those wondering, I had commented that there wasn't much computer the OP could get for $200-$275... Reading comprehension is out the window today... Edited by Snaike - 11 Dec 2017 at 9:47am |

. I admit I was confused but that is my usual state.
@Hommeg100 I was just in Amazon (but Newegg or Walmart, etc.) and there are various monitors that fit your req. I hate to suggest one since I am not up on monitors. I am sure that others will come by and suggest some. Good luck and enjoy. Let us know what you end up picking. |

I've had very good experiences with Newegg in the past, but to be honest it's been a long while since I've ordered anything from them, so I can't comment with any recency.

Never ordered from them either. "She who must be obeyed" (phrase used without permission) has an Amazon account so I only know about them. Have ordered direct from EK with good results.
They are all about the same I guess but.....the old rule always applies - caveat emptor. |

I used Newegg once a few years back and the next week an unknown from across the country ordered a gaming console with my card. Never used them again.

I was afraid you'd find all the G-Sync monitors out there much too pricy. But I stumbled over this one. It's the cheapest I think you'll find. Best part is, it's Best Buy, so if you can find it at a store near you, you can actually see it before you buy.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/aoc-g-sync-24-led-gaming-monitor-black-green/1445028.p?skuId=1445028&ref=199&loc=8BacdVP0GFs&acampID=1&siteID=8BacdVP0GFs-TprgK.fVujW1Jzcg3sidQg How's that for an url? If that's too much, I don't think at your res you'd need G-Sync all that much TBH. I might go for the one you picked, but you can never go wrong with lotsa searching around. |

It'll work fine with your rig. I like that it's 27" for that $$ if you want that large a screen (have room?). Dell makes some pretty good monitors, but their customer service sometimes leaves something to be desired. Having said that, if the monitor doesn't have issues, you won't need to care.
I'd check out the one at Best Buy if you can. There's nothing like seeing a monitor in person. |

Sorry. no. first, it would cost twice as much. Second, with all the copy dedicated to describing the product, it would be stated prominently. Most ads will have a tab for stats you can check; this one doesn't, but all that description tells you everything somewhere in it.
I were you, I'd look this one up on Amazon and check out the reviews. |

Newegg is ok just don't get stuff from 3rd party sellers .
I would go for a 1080p monitor at 60hz, with a 1050 gtx Check Amazon and reviews |

Dude, your first monitor, I would google some local stores to GO SEE what you like. Unfortunately, ordering displays online is always a crapshoot. Look hard at the reviews. doesn't matter so much the price point, some monitors come with dead pixels, damaged in shipping, weird issues with too much "backlight bleed", etc, etc, etc. Most come perfectly okay, but look at the reviews - some do not. That last one you posted looks great, but got only 50% 5 stars on Amazon. Everyone else had some issue. Order online, you have to be prepared that you might have to deal with sending the monitor back and maybe deal with BS customer service. In the meantime, no monitor means no gaming!
First time out, give yourself a break and just go pick one out. If it's crappy, you take it back same day, and get another one, you're back gaming. |

Wow, do I feel silly. I just peeked at the monitors DS is offering right here, and there are some great buys. For some reason, I just assumed they'd be all high-end panels. If you're gonna go mail-order, DS is the way to go for sure! They'll treat you right. Best part is, you can call or e-mail DS for a true expert opinion. How 'bout that.
