ALEX,

PLEASE let me know asap. or ask the management I like the side window with the vents on it. and prefer with a matt black fineshed on the "S" logo I order from the past aventium 2 and bolt 2

I rather have the one with the vent..I will trade in it with the all window less window better so let me know guys if you guys own a velox with side panel with vent on it. in excellent condition

Sorry we do not have any more with the side panel with the metal vent holes. If you would like vents there on the clear acrylic, we can do that, select the option under the "Chassis Mods" section.

Hi wolf616,

The side panel with the vents gave the buyer a great case for air cooling with the addition of side fan/fans. It is a shame that DS choose to stop providing this style of side panel. The flexibility of the Velox case has been diminished with this new full windowed side panel.

I agree with Alex that side vents didn't do much for thermals but that probably is not the case with side fans. I have been a big supported of the Velox case with the side fan capability, but not so much now.

Even if DS is correct that the full side window doesn't effect the thermals of the case, it does take away the bad arse look of the Velox. It now looks like many other full side window cases.

I think the uniqueness of the Velox case has been diminished. One man's opinion.

Hi Frank... I agree.    Side panel fans are becoming more scarce with the cases offered and the Velox stood out for that.   My personal experience is that side fans do help with thermals when the graphics card /s starts climbing.   I was surprised awhile back when I learned of the change. It took the Velox out of the running for me.

Too bad they didn't offer both, all window for the aesthetics and vented window for those wanting the flexibility.   

Oh well, gotta roll with the changes.

Yup thank's frankw bpratt22 for input the uniqueness of the velox has been diminished that why I'm looking for one out there $150 plus I give the my window panel. the bad about this company is that they make this system or case but they can't make another side panel? I own 2 of there system bolt 2 and aventium 2. You spend a lot of money but they won't help you out.?!! that's right time do tell. what's the point of having a warranty or a loyal customer to this company ow we don't make that any more people are expecting what they pay. so is that false advertising..if they going to change it mite as well removed the velox cuz you mite not get any more parts. I know it's only a side panel or a case. but you keep them. So guys hit me up if you guys seen anybody have the side panel.

here's what I own for the past years uniqueness for this pc and how they where built. check it out -- ----- ----, ------ --, -------- -----, BOLT 2 , AVENTIUM 2. will sell my velox for sure if I don't get the side panel within days.

DS changing to an all window side panel doesn't change my opinion of them being a very good company to deal with.   They make changes all the time. I've been around long enough to accept that changes happen from day to day.   

If you ordered it being told it had the side vents then I'd talk to them.   Not sure when the change was made.   

Another option is to have the chassis mod where side fans are installed after they drill out the acrylic.   Blow holes it's called.

I'm thinking the change were made because of popular demand , it is a business, and because the inverted mobo has the video card fans facing up.   Being intake, maybe DS felt the top fans blowing in would feed the cards all the air they needed, being intake fans.   

I still like the side fans for sli Strix where the heat from one card can feed into the other card. Most setups other than that probably cool just fine.   But, DS has business decisions to make.

I just looked at your Velox build and you don't have much there. Your motherboard won't support SLI so no need for the side vents other than appearance. I don't think DS has done any false advertising. They are still a great computer company and offer excellent products.

We do offer the "Chassis Mod" option on the configurator for customers. We can laser cut vent holes and mount side panel fans where the graphics cards.

Please note, there is A LOT of air coming in from the front for the graphics cards, and it helps push the air in one direction and out of the case, as there are vents on the back, the graphics cards are pulling air out, and we have vents on the top, as heat rises, it will be vented out from the top too.

Sorry i just want to address customers if they order there velox that they won't get the same thing as the website. Also I know keep saying that they can drill holes to the windows and its but i want mine steel is real!! I just want them to hear the truth and may be some owners of velox would like to sell or trade this all windows. Thank u guys for understanding

the thing with side-mounted fans is that you have to be careful or you'll screw up your entire case airflow.  if you use fans with too high CFM you'll create turbulence.  if you want to hit the "dead spot" between pcie/pci cards, it's probably best to use a fan/bracket that can be mounted behind the hard drive/optical cages and blow in the same direction as the front intake fans do; however, if you have 3 intake fans you get enough positive pressure/air flow already.

I want to do it right they way the website is any advertising like i seen in youtube i want the original look i have a three titan x too cool down my motherboard may be weak right now but if will upgrade me spec if they do it right DS please just to us a favor or just this once we want original look for the velox and we are all ready to go place this order give me a ETA i order it asap
