I have a DS system that is water cooled. This is my first time ever having a water cooled system and had a couple of questions. I am going to replace the coolant in the system and wanted to know what is the easiest way to do this? Also what type of fluid should I use? I would prefer to use the same thing DS puts in, but if there is anything better I will put that in.

To empty the loop, find the lowest fitting, remove it and drain into a container.   Cover the area with towels to catch any overspill.   If you have quick disconnects, that's easier. If not, then it can get a bit messier but not bad.

Some will refill with distilled water, run it to flush any sediment and then drain again.

Not sure what DS used for your fluids when you bought it. A quick call to them will get the info.    Fluid XP was one they used.

Good luck.

Hi hotshot146,
The coolant used by DS (at least the one they sold me to use on my Hydrolux) is EK-Ekoolant. As you can see by bpratt22's post, apparently DS uses different fluids.
As to draining the loop, I have yet to do it, but from what I have read, if you are going to change the coolant, it pays to take apart the components and thoroughly clean. So, it is a major project. Others will probably post with more applicable ways to R&R your coolant if you post what system you have and type of loop.
