I am awaiting my aventum 3 and I got water cooling for it. I would like to buy some to top it off, later in its life time. And I want to stick with the same brand. I got clear so I have no pigment build up. What brand do they use?
I’m new to water cooling and flushing and cleaning is going to drive me crazy with anxitiy. Is there a video that shows someone flushing and cleaning this cases cooling? I looked at the digital storm video but it does not show a in depth guide on how to do it. Edited by Mpetersonart - 30 Jan 2018 at 9:21pm |

Congratulations and welcome to DS.
The Aventum is a great case to work on with plenty of room. What cooler did you order? It is not water. The fluid is a liquid coolant and it is best if you contact DS and ask them what they used in your system. It varies with time and you should not mix different ones. Good luck. |

Yes call them, you want to make sure you use exact one.
Don't think there is a guide for the new one this is the old one Edited by DST4ME - 01 Feb 2018 at 5:22am |

For my Aventum 3 they sent me EK Koolant EVO. I am using Blood Red so not sure if that makes a difference in what type they use. I do know the type they sent me is end of life but there is a new batch EK Cryofuel. Anyway, as said above, get in touch with them to see what they used, but you can always flush your system and put in what you want.

It does make a difference that is why you want to use exact same one or flush, clean and use new.

Do find out and get a bottle for fill ups before a full change.

I meant that I am not sure if the color makes a difference in what brand they use, like do they use the same company/type for blue as an example? I just know what type they sent me for Blood Red. Edited by Ravenwjf - 03 Feb 2018 at 2:35pm |

Adding coolant is very easy. Just go too the reservoir and on the top there are screw-in caps. Mine use an 8mm hex if I remember correctly. Your parts box should have a small allen/hex wrench included. Probably didn't know what it was for if you saw it.
Changing coolant is a whole other process and a bit more complicated (read more things have to be removed) Have an Av 2 so can't help you with what to remove, both have very different cases and plumbing. Good luck and enjoy. |

So, I haven't flushed mine yet since I just changed out all the water blocks, it was basically replacing all the fluid anyway. DS sent me the same EK that was originally in it so no flushing required. It sounds complicated but it should be easy, just empty the fluid out as much as you can (there is a DS video showing how to drain the system), then flush the system with distilled water and continue till the fluid is clear. As for filling it, my cap is just a screw on/screw off no tool required, but due to where the reservoir is I got a funnel and tube to pour the liquid in for refilling and topping off.
