Was looking at my the open space on my drives when I noticed that my 120Gb SSD had only 30ish Gbs of free space left... and I thought that was odd. I originally thought that I'd inadvertently piled some Steam games on that drive so I went to move some over and found that all of the Steam games are on the HDD.

Then I found that I have lost 22Gb on the SSD to "Windows.old". Now, my understanding was that Windows 10 was going to delete this file after 30 days automatically. But it didn't. So I tried to delete it normally.

Yea, got an error.

Anyone else (that upgraded) still have their "Windows.old" file?

Hi Snaike,

Here is a link that shows how to remove Windows Old from your drive. Make sure you can use Disk Cleanup on a SSD.

Thanks Frank... I already have it deleted. I thought it was a bit odd that Win10 hadn't deleted it yet. It was supposed to be around for 30 days and then flushed.

Just wondering if anyone else still had their's past the 30 day window (pardon the pun)

Looks like mine deleted it, or I deleted it and forgot about it. 50/50 chance either way. Big%20Smile

I deleted mind immediately by simply running the built in disk cleaner u see the drivers properties. Same option I've used for many of years.
