There can be an advantage in download speed in some cases, but probably not in my case.

If you have appropriate controllers on the motherboard and network router, you can do teaming. Hopefully, prices of 10 gigabit networking gear comes down in the consumer space...I know Asus has been working on some stuff, but still has a ways to go. In the meantime, you can possibly look at Thunderbolt, but you cable runs will be length limited, unless you want to go for the expensive active fiber optic Corning cables.

That is what I was thinking, you have two isp-s? if so teaming like mentioned is one way to go. |

link aggregation won't improve your throughput, you'd need a fatter pipe for that, but it will show benefits while dl'ing multiple files. think of it like a multi-lane road as opposed to a single lane road, but both with the same speed limit. at any rate you'd need special business class hardware to set it up, and run Windows Server, Linux or OS X.
