Can I please get some advice on if this custom build is well balanced. And if not what changes I should consider. I'm on a fairly low budget of around $1000-$1400

Also the list doesn't tell us what case to house the components in , it's cooling and the cpu cooler that will be used. What's the manufacturer of the power supply, SSD, etc.
I'm not DS sales but for your budget I'd consider the Vanquish level 3. Tough to beat the cost considering its tested and comes with their warranty. Plus, you'll know the parts manufacturers for its reliability and warranty support after DS warranty runs out. Just things to consider. |

Sorry, I don't know how the ram didn't get included.
8 GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Ram I was saving up for the Vanquish 3 when it upgraded to windows 10. Is there anyway to still get it with windows 8 or even 7? I know very little about computers, but I'm pretty sure the CPU and graphics card will fit my needs. So I'm mainly trying to figure out what motherboard and how much ram is necessary to keep up with the graphics and loading times. Also is the benefits of a sound card worth $100 or more? |

Sound card is not worth it. I'd go with Windows 10...DirectX12 is only supported in W10 and I'd say it is pretty much as good as W7 when it came out.

I agree to go with Windows 10. A lot of people are gun shy after previous OS upgrades but this one works.
You didn't mention the usage or monitor resolution, but for gaming on a 1080p monitor then pretty much any mobo with 8gb ram is sufficient. If you want the cpu overclocked or the option to go sli then you'd need to be a little more particular. |
