Hi everyone,
I bought a Bolt II a while back and I've been enjoying it greatly. However, recently it's had a problem displaying the correct time. I can temporarily fix the problem by going into settings and either changing or resyncing the time server, but the time will inevitably get messed up again. It seems like when the computer is off or in sleep mode the time stops moving forward. I did some research on this, and the most likely reason seems to be a faulty CMOS battery... Changing this out seems a bit out of my area of expertise. I'm not incredibly knowledgeable about this area of computers and could use some help. Thanks! It's a CR2032 coin battery. You can see it right below the wireless lead from the mini-PCIe card to the headers on the backplate in this pic:
Quite easy to access and replace. Simply open up the side of your case pull out the old battery and insert the new |
