Which EVGA 1080 boards will digital storm be carrying ?
Most would agree this is the best brand in North America. And best RMA / warranty. |

Alex said they may or may not carry it, he said they will have asus but evga they are not sure.
I agree with you 100%, $30 gets me a 5 year warranty for a $500 and over gpu, $60 gets me a 10 year warranty. Original warranty of 3 years is great but most important is their customer service second to none in that industry. Edited by DST4ME - 30 Jun 2016 at 1:24am |

Alex, can you please tell me if you think you'll be offering the "EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 CLASSIFIED GAMING ACX 3.0" card when it gets released? I'd prefer to wait for this card before I order my next DS system. |

I don't think so... that will have to be a special order from us. I'll be honest, you can just overclock the ACX 3.0 we offer now to those same speeds. If you want to still special order it, we do charge a order fee and markup, you'll need to email "[email protected]"

EXACTLY!!! This is what I'll be doing. The EVGA ACX 3.0 is just fine and perfect for me because just like Alex said - one could just overclock the cards themselves just like the classified or FTW will be clocked at. The cooling is what's important here and EVGA goes all out with/on their cards in regards to their cooling of the video card(s). I am not so sure I would have ordered the Hailstorm 2 I ordered yesterday if ASUS was our only other option besides the Founders Edition. Like several have already stated - ASUS has terrible customer service (at the least they are a hit or miss). EVGA is bar-none one of the best. In fact, I built and ordered my (new) next PC from Digital Storm because of their second to none customer service. Digital Storms' customer service was the selling point with me when ordering my new PC. ;) I am very glad/Extremely that Digital Storm decided to carry EVGA at this point. When I do upgrade from the EVGA ACX 3.0, it will be with the EVGA GTX 1080 ti/TITAN version (assuming EVGA will indeed design and produce such a card - which I am highly optimistic that EVGA will do that.) There is no doubt they will have an ACX 3.0 cooler for the 1080 Ti. Nvidia limits what the vendors can do with the Titan, although EVGA has a special relationship with Nvidia and is allowed to provide water cooled variants of it with their Hybrid and Hydro Copper coolers. With the Titan X, EVGA had an ACX cooler that you could purchase separately and swap out for the reference blower cooler (there may have also been a vBIOS update for the new fan profiles). So, it could be possible; you may need to do some work on your end, though. |

The EVGA Classified will probably over lock to higher speeds than a standard acx 3 under full water cool block , won't they ? I would assume they are binning better chips for the classified given all the extra power connectors etc meant to overclock.

Not much better. You'll still be limited to 2.1-2.2GHz. You need to go to liquid nitrogen to get better results, up to 2.5GHz. But if you water cool, you will have more consistent clock speeds.
