I'm having a difficult time finding a gaming mouse. I have a palm grip and small hands. I've been alternating between a logitech G502 and G700 mice. Both of these would be perfect if the center mouse wheel wasn't butter smooth. I need a mouse of similar quality but with a mouse wheel that clicks or is at least sensitive. Man when I try to switch weapons I end up cycling through 3-4 instead of one. Thx.

i'm not bprat, but i play one on DS forums
i use a Razer Naga (original) mmo mouse. i have wide palms but short fingers and use a "palm grip". the Naga has a very nice scroll wheel for my tastes. it gives very positive feedback and comfortable/precise scrolling. i haven't had to replace the mouse in ~5 years of intense gaming. i love all of the side buttons, very convenient for my needs. |

I also play that bprat guy.
I use the Logitech g400. It's adjustable dpi is great for slowing the scroll when playing sniper in the Battlefield games. Feels good with my small to medium hands, don't really know how to measure them , but I like it. Palm grip here also. Someone once said that the size of your hands......never mind. |

Don't the Logitech mice have the button to toggle between a smooth scroll and a clicky scroll for the center wheel? Maybe that was new for the G700S (I had the Performance MX). The newer G602S is an excellent mouse if you are gaming on 1440p or less resolutions (the DPI on it is limited to 2500, which isn't high enough, as least for me, on 2160p). It has a wheel that is exclusively clicky and features Logitech's Delta Zero technology where they have an accelerometer to make up for the short-comings of the optical sensor.

The first thing that came to mind when I read this was "come on no way". Apparently there is an option to toggle between the two modes that I didn't know about. Not only that but I remembered periods when my G700 suddenly started clicking that I attributed to wear and tear and then just switched back to the smooth scrolling. Man I'm dumb, but the wonderful thing about online forums is that you can be an idiot with complete anonymity. Next time I buy something I will definitely read the user manual. Thanks everybody. |

What's a "manual"? How does one "read" this? (Glad it worked out!) |

I really like the G9x, but they don't make it anymore and so the aftermarket for it is ridiculous. I've went through two of them, and this most recent one I am keeping super diligent on cleaning so that it lasts as long as possible.
