Topic: Vanqish 3 questions Posted: 03 Jul 2015 at 5:47pm |
Prepared to order a Vanquish Lv. 3 or Lv. 4 but I have a few questions.
1. LV. 3 vs Lv. 4? 2. Can I send Digital Storm back the pc in the future and have them upgrade it at a fee? (Water Cooling) And if so how would that be done? 3. Can I have the average performance benchmarks of the Lv. 3 and Lv. 4 variants of the Vanquish? Thanks guys. |

1) What resolution will you be gaming at?
2) Yes, but the All-In-One water coolers are very easy to do yourself 3) Maybe Nav has done this somewhere? Someone else may be able to point you to the correct place, but you can do a web search for "digital Storm Vanquish Benchmarks," but I'm not sure if benchmarks for the latest configs are posted anywhere Edited by - 03 Jul 2015 at 6:14pm |

Yeah, the Vanquish Benchmarks are in the Vanquish Product Overview . Just scroll down after selecting Vanquish. Also not sure if they're the latest but they do look pretty accurate, the level 3 being about 40% better than lvl 2 and level 4 being about 15% over level 3.
The level 4 does give you a larger SSD and power supply along with 15% stronger gtaphics card for the added $300. For me, the level 3 is best bang for your buck. Others will disagree. Edited by bprat22 - 04 Jul 2015 at 3:21am |

Thanks bprat. Another question I'd like to ask is how accessible or upgradeable is the Vanquish? Should I rather get a tweaked down Apollo and upgrade it or should I go for a solid prebuilt Vaanquish?

The Vanquish is as upgradable as a similar Apollo build. Adding ram, changing the graphics card, adding a HDD or SSD drive are all very doable.
Your budget will determine what you can start with. The more the better, because why pay for something twice, like swapping the graphics card in a year when a couple of hundred extra now saves $5-600 later, for example. The Vanquish lvl 3 and 4 are both solid. The extra $300 for lvl 4 does give you a stronger card by about 15%, a larger SSD and a larger psu. Not a bad deal. If you game 1920x1080 you might not need the 980, or a larger SSD is great, but if you use it just for OS and a game or two, the smaller is OK. It's all about the $$$$. |

I was also debating lv 3 vs lv 4 and just ordered lv 4 decided the extra cash was worth the upgrade
