We have just updated the VANQUISH with the new revision 6 model. The following has changed:
(1) We now offer customers the option to fully customize the PC. (2) Customers can select from multiple configurations based on their budget and needs. (3) There are more AMD Ryzen configurations now available. (4) We offer SLI as an option to customers. |

Very nice. Can get all you want (except case color) in the Vanquish case.

Nice, Alex.
My initial impression, always being the critcal one , is that all the configs, 16 of them, seems a little busy and too much. But, it does give more preselected options to those that aren't comfortable "designing" their own. Change is good. |

Yes - it's definitely an interesting evolution for the product line - especially from where it began to where it is now. I'm curious to see how it plays out. Essentially 16 configurations is more than many companies sell in and of itself. Definitely an interesting development on the marketing side.

Ive been holding out for awhile on a new pc but my old one finally fell apart.
That $995 price point for the vanquish 6 with the 1050 ti is appealing Im looking for a gaming pc and typical use like internet browsing etc For 1080p/1440p gaming, would that ryzen cpu be adequate enough? Just looking to get a solid foundation tower i can upgrade down the road. Only thing id change is probably the hdd yo an ssd since i have my hdd from my old build. Maybe upgrade yo 750 watt full modular psu |

I'm a bit torn on this decision. But that's just me.
The premise of the Vanquish, IIRC, was an entry level system at a really attractive price point for new gamers. For example, the early Vanquish Ultimates priced out at around $1300 because they weren't configurable. You saved money by buying premade and prebuilt. Now, with all the configurations, DS has moved away from that entry level machine. I understand the move and I'm certain DS will still create the best machine possible with their world-class customer service. Ah well, the only constant is change. |

Agree. There are plenty of other custom builds to choose from without pulling the original Vanquish concept. |

wow.. I guess it's not just me.
A flawed analogy would be cars over the years... The Model T was less expensive because Ford pioneered the assembly line. Make a lot, make 'em quick, and make 'em inexpensive. Where as the hand made cars, such as today's Rolls Royce, are going to exponentially more time consuming to build and therefore more expensive. Like I said, flawed analogy, but I hope my point comes across. Either way, I am certain that Alex and the folks at DS will still make the very best because that's what they do. |

I actually don't see that as a flawed analogy, but very insightful.
I was wondering for some time when they would totally drop the prebuilt concept. Either the bottom line or increase in business not allowing for much prebuilt opportunity are my guess. Over the years us senior members have seen DS's evolution and this is just another step. Change happens. |

I'm guessing this is DS moving more squarely into the "boutique builder" market. Even though there exists a fairly wide cost chasm between "mass producer" and "boutique builder" it would still be nice to have one product line represent your business in the other market.
I am certain that if you called the mass producers like ********, ***** ******* and ******** and asked for a different configuration or something really custom made you would be hard pressed to get it at a reasonable price... if you got it at all. (I recall a machine I had made by **** that had proprietary components that I couldn't upgrade and that really irritated me down the years.) Contrarily, it would be a bonus to be able to call our favorite "boutique builder" for something that's inexpensive and still represents the Digital Storm way. That's my opinion, but they probably have many more MBAs than I do.... |

Our goal has always been to constantly improve our business and the evolution of the VANQUISH has been based on feedback from our customers.
Even though we now offer higher configuration options, we still offer a low starting point. The price of a VANQUISH build is still far more cost effective than an APOLLO build. |

If the latest Vanquish change is complete and not being tweaked then I congratulate DS. Its back to a pre-built box with parts pre-selected to give most customers all they need and saving $200 plus in the process. The other custom builds, like Apollo for example , give those with bigger budgets and wanting more of a selection, the choices they want.

You're right.
We did a test pilot to offer customization on the VANQUISH, but if we keep them locked to four configs, it allows us to pass those savings to our customers. |

Dumb question maybe since there are no config options now, but I was looking at one for my second computer for my wife. She needs an internet browser, but I'd like hers to be able to play battlefield for my son. The vanquish is an inexpensive way to do it.
My question is can I get one without a video card as I have a pretty new 970? Also would like a card reader. |

You'd need to customize an Apollo to do that, but you can get it with the less expensive Vanquish case (there is still some extra cost with the full customization, but you can use that to your advantage and tailor it to what you really need and want). Example:

I, too, would offer congratulations and even a quick "thank you" from all of the lower budget gamers. Having the "pre-built" option with the savings this entails will allow many more customers to experience just what makes Digital Storm better than the rest. Well done. |

Did DS change this again? When selecting the VANQUISH 6 I'm not able to fully customize the PC. Anyone else notice this? |

Yes, DS just went back tp offering the Vanquish as a pre-built, no option, build. I think its a great idea, as it saves those with tight budgets a few hundred dollars, but DS still has other builds, like Apollo for example, that are fully configurable. They went back to the Vanquish's original purpose.

Yes, apparently, AFAIK they did. DS has gone back to the business model of offering the Vanquish line as an entry level gaming machine. The reason they can sell these units at such a reduced price point is because they have been pre-built with very little customization. Should you wish to customize your own new gaming computer, there are many other optional models from which to choose. ** I am not a spokesperson for DS, only a moderator. I am also a proud owner of a Vanquish II Ultimate. ** |

Thanks! I like the idea of the prebuilt and for the price, its very hard to beat. I wouldn't mind changing the video card for a little more but the 1070 is a good card. fixed broken quote. Edited by Snaike - 25 May 2017 at 11:33pm |

The 1070 is a great card. When I purchased my V2 it had a GTX770 and when I replaced it with the 1070 my performance doubled. |

I don't know because I've only tried on mobile but the Apollo let's me, but I can no longer customize the vanquish 6 like I could the vanquish 5. I used to be able to customize the graphics card and fans and what not but no longer can. Have they just removed the option to customize like before or is it my device?

That's unfortunate as I like a lot of the options in the vanquish 6 but would only like an upgraded to a few items like graphics card and even though it's superfluous I really wanted the green led fans lol

The Vanquish case has the blue LED front fans.
If you mean the internal lighting then the Apollo also has the option for the remote controlled led lighting. If you select the Apollo build you do have the option of changing the case from the Apollo's 760T case to the Vanquish's 230T case if that's what you like. I think you can get anything in the Apollo config that you can get in the Vanquish, plus a ton more choices to fit your needs, budget, etc. It would be a couple hundred more for the exact same components because of the customization. Hope this helps. Edited by bprat22 - 17 Jun 2017 at 8:49am |

We now offer "Ready to Ship" on the VANQUISH. Orders will ship within 1 business day from being processed.
Note, the "Best" configuration will change to "Ready to Ship" within the next 5-6 business days. |

Great news for those who are on a budget but want a little extra in one area or another on their build. Let's be honest the customization was always there but you just had to send an email to Digital Storm asking them to change something and like magic it happens.
