Why is the X99 motherboard only available on the more expensive cases like the Apollo and the Slade? Is there only room enough in certain cases?

If you customize either, there will be a list of cases you can change it to when configuring the system. They've tried to streamline the ordering process to their popular models, but they have a wide range of options available. Try this barebones configuration, but keep in mind there is no storage and an extremely weak GPU and PSU.
