Planning on financing a PC through bread but as i hit checkout i was declined because they needed more information to confirm my identity. They're closed on the weekends so after doing a bit of searching i found some horror stories of bread accepting people then asking for ID pictures and then declining people with no help after. So anyone who has financed through bread if you had to do this verification i'd appreciate any info on how it went.

That is odd, I had no out of the ordinary identification needs that were asked of me. I had to give the last 4 of my social, my current address and some bank info but that was it. It was a very easy process for me and went through without fail.

IMHO you can find "horror" stories about just about anything, because stuff just happens. Folks make mistakes. In general though, we experienced forum users tend to trust DS and the vendors/suppliers they have chosen. They have always seemed to take great care that their rep doesn't suffer because of some sketchy partner.

Just my 2 cents. You can always decline the Bread financing if they don't meet your standards/needs. I thought they were very helpful and cooperative with me.

I have no reason to dislike bread or DS in any way, i was just curious if they've asked other people to provide that additional info and if they did how it went.

You could also try financing through a local bank, your interest rates might be better even.

Everything worked out just fine, sent them a picture with my ID and the temporary stop was lifted so i could order from DS. Took about a day for them to email me back after submitting the picture telling me it all worked out for anyone who might stumble across this late.
