The Aventum 3 is an exercise in excess, larger than any of its competitors, and available with high-end options that aren’t offered by most companies. It’s handsome, hugely upgradable, and devastatingly quick, felling all of our performance benchmarks with ease. As you’d expect it to, given its MSRP of around $8,600... Digital Storm’s flagship is for geeks who want to brag.

the writer/article does raise a valid criticism: this is a premium "flagship" product that carries a premium price tag (as it should considering RnD and initial construction costs), but the people who spring for a product of this magnitude shouldn't get stuck with a standard warranty.  i think the warranty should reflect the "premium" investment a buyer makes in this product.

i was lucky at the time of my purchase that there was a product-wide promotion for an additional year of coverage on parts, but that's not exclusive to this individual product.

i kind of disagree with the writer when pricing comparable units with competitors.  i've gone to those exact competitors and priced out somewhat comparable builds and they all inevitably creep right into the samey same range.  additionally, while well built no doubt, none of them had as much "custom" feel to them as an Aventum offers, and in many cases quite the restriction on available components to choose from.

I agree with you a 100% personally I got tired of these articles not doing DS justice.

I'll be honest, the review was quite good because it was critical and gave a sense of authenticity. Yes, it does say there are cheaper ways to get the same performance (we even offer different models like the VELOX which could house the same hardware), however, the review does dive deep into the benefits and good things of a system of its class.

When we created the AVENTUM, it was never to be made for "value" and this review clearly illustrates it. Anyone that is in the market for the most advanced PC, the AVENTUM 3, will feel the review is positive and illustrates strongly on what we wanted to do with such an insane PC.
