Dude, get your hands on some liquid hydrogen, and you'll get that record!

Seriously, though, those numbers are insane! Nice work, really shows you what the chips are actually capable of.

Heres my personal rig i've been working on at home. Core specs:

Intel Q6600 G0 CPU @ 3.6GHz
Gigabyte X38-DS4 MOBO
(4x) G.Skill F2-6400CLS5-2GBPQ
XFX 8800GTS 512MB

3DMARK06 SCORE:

TEMPS:
IDLE:

LOAD:

I previously started with a 680i A1 mobo on AIR:

Checkout that huge huge Tower 120 heatsink I was using.    It was already too loud for my taste with the fan on full, I was ordering water parts already at this point.

The current Gigabyte board I'm using, the NB is already passively cooled, and it doesn't get as hot as a 680i NB. So I don't need to put on a massive heatsink on it.

When I was running the 680i board, I was about to pickup that Thermalright tower one, except at that time, I was already considering water. I picked up a Danger Den 680i Northbridge waterblock instead:

My plans for the 680i board didn't go through, I decided not to go that route anymore, so now i have this part as a paperweight.

LN2 is not cost effective for long term use, it is used to set records and pretty much nothing else. Peltier cooling on the other hand, allows you to cool to temperatures below room tempterature at substantially lower cost, and is practical for day to day operation. I've sometimes wondered when or if DSO would venture into the world of "exotic cooling" solutions.

That's a real good idea about DSO looking at "exotic cooling", maybe an option for someone looking at a real nice OC on their processor.
