Hello everyone I just wanted to share my experience I have had with Digitalstorm so far. I will continue to write about the rest of my experience with Digitalstorm as sort of a review. I finally received my computer yesterday March 3, 2022. The box is in pretty nice condition and the packaging was great and only small amounts of damaged on the box on one of the corners. Anyways opened the box up and everything looked great and eventually got the computer out and all the stuffing they had inside of it out which was all packaged great as well. Scanned the code on top of my computer because this is my first computer ever with water cooling like this so I wanted to make sure I was going to fill it up right with the liquid cooling. I followed the instructions only to find out that my water pump doesn't really seem to work very well at all. The liquid literally trickles at the slowest rate ever through the tubing and the pump can't even get all of the liquid flowing through it. (I took videos and also have pictures) So I called up Digitalstorm trying to ask for some assistance and someone answered the phone who was very nice and I explained to him my situation and he had then told me to power the PC down right away so I did and this was just so nothing gets damaged which I totally understand. He then told me that there was only a few people who work on the Aventum X rigs so he told it might be awhile before I can get a tech to reach out and call me. Anyways this is my experience so far and I will keep updating as things happen between me and Digitalstorm. ________ Update 1 - 3/04/2022 - I gave Digitalstorm a call today after work and talked to a woman who was also very friendly to talk to and I had explained to her my situation and that I had spoken to someone last night on the phone over at Digitalstorm. She was easily and quickly able to pull up my information and my order and that I had submit a tech request last night. I told her that I have video and so I asked her if I could it send it over to them so a tech could look at it before even calling me. She said yes and then told me she would send a email over to me and that I could reply with the video and then she would send it into the right direction for me. ________ Update 2 - 3/05/2022 - I received a phone call from a guy who works at DS last night around 8:00ish eastern time and it was 10 minutes after closing for them and he still reached out to me to confirm that he had watched the video that I had sent to DS. He talked to me for a bit and was very friendly and helpful but basically what he told me was that there looked to be like there was more than the usual amount of air pockets in the system. So what he told me to do was hook the PC all up and get a program to monitor temps so I did this today and then I downloaded NZXT cam. Then he said to watch some youtube videos and see if the pump starts working better if the temps of the PC go higher. He then told me he would send the video out to a manager to have them look it over and that they would reach out to me again today to follow up. So far for the results of my testing today have been good. The pump did start to pump faster as
temps went up and after running it for most of today I'd say not all but
a lot of the air came out. There are still a few spots that have some air pockets but at this point I think they'll get pushed out once I actually start gaming. Temps have been around 20-30c most of the
time today for both CPU and GPU and I did even load up Elden Ring and
everything seemed okay but I haven't time to actually sit and play yet. ________ Update 3 - 3/06/2022 - I received no follow up call yesterday as DS said they would. One of the guys I spoke to on the 4th had sent me a picture via email showing me what the underneath of my pump should look like. He then asked me to take a picture of the underneath of the pump to see if I could see a speed dial like in the picture he sent me and well the bottom of my pump has no way to control the speed. I have felt all around the whole pump and there is no dial on it. I had sent the guy a email back with the picture I was able to get and had explained that there is no dial and that I don't know how to control the speed on the pump. ________ My current thoughts & temps. I feel like if I could just speed up the pump it would shoot the rest of the air through the system. Idle temps are currently CPU 45c and GPU 42c... yesterday they were idle in the 20s... It doesn't really even look like water can be moved through the GPU because of air blockage. As of right now I am starting to feel a little upset because I need a tech to talk to and I don't even think they know what pump they put into my computer. ________ Update 4 - 3/08/2022 - Last night 3/07/2022 DS called me back same guy I have spoken to the last 3 times which was nice because you don't have to play the telephone game when dealing with the same person. He had told me the make and model of the pump I have and that it was actually already on full bore and that I can control this pump via the bios. I had told him that a lot of the air has actually come out of the system ever since he recommend me to run the computer. I think part of the problem was there was bubbles stuck where the pump pulls water in from the reservoir which was causing blockage and not letting as much water through. Ever since those bubble have been pushed out the system the system has been able to get rid of a large amount of air but there is still some in the system and the guy at DS had told me that it could possibly take up to two weeks to get the rest of the air out and if it doesn't all come out to contact him back. Temps have gone down since as well because the water is flowing much better. ________ My overall experience with Digitalstorm has actually been very good. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and able to help my situation in some sort of way. I definitely like how when you speak to a tech it's always the same person. DS has also been very quick at responding to emails and calls even when I was told by the very first guy I spoke to on the phone that they were really busy and it might take a few weeks for a tech to contact me. They were able to answer all of my questions I have asked with ease and they were able to give me answers that I can actually understand. I can't blame them for the shipping delays I know they have nothing to do with that and as a business owner myself I also understand being short handed. For people who are looking into buying anything from Digitalstorm I would 110% recommend it. Their build quality and the parts they use are super top quality and the rigs themselves are totally awesome to just look at. Everything has been overall fluid dealing with DS even with the chip shortage I still got my rig at a decent rate. The packaging that they use for the rigs is also some of the best I've seen from any other company. Customer service is top notch compared to any other company I have ever dealt with and they had no issues helping me and I am a total noob to the liquid cooling scene. Thank you for writing up your experience thus far. The unfortunate reality with shipping high-end electronics is that even if the box looks reasonable enough, there can still be damage to the internal components. I'm glad to hear you're working with DS. I hope that "awhile" doesn't turn out to be very long for you, just because DS doesn't have a lot of staff who work on the Aventum doesn't mean you should experience increased wait times. Please keep us updated.

So sorry to hear. Hope it gets resolved real quick.
I’m sure you did, but gotta ask….you put enough fluid in the loop to get the pump primed? Lack of prime will cause the impeller to spin in the air pocket. Keep us informed.

Yes I did it the exact way they do it in the tutorial video. I also checked the power connection cable for the pump because that's one of the things it says to check for in the binder the PC came with under the maintenance section and the connection is good.

One more question then I’ll leave you alone.
Did you try rapping the pump with your knuckle to coax it along. Long shot but might get lucky. Not DS systems but this has worked with pumps just sitting for awhile. |

Hi, Sorry you are having an issue. I suggest you get a 24-pin Power on/off switch jumper. It will be very useful when you do any moving of coolant without wanting to turn the system on. Once you get one, if needed, remove the 24-pin power cable from the mobo and attach the jumper to it. This will allow you to turn the pump on at will. You can check the pump without worrying about the hardware. Why do you think you are having flow issues? Did you have a temp monitoring program on (CPUID HWMonitor comes to mind) to check temps? Keep us posted. Hope you get it resolved easily.

This is a great idea and I think I will look into doing this. I actually feel like this is something DS should look into and being able to add it on to a build. I literally would of paid for this if it was an option.
