I was trying to do the buy now pay later option so I can get my boyfriend a Christmas present, but the process of signing up for Affirm was horrid. My boyfriend tried with all of his information, turns out Affirm doesn't go through his bank Amplify (Even though it shows up as one of the options for Affirm). Then I tried with all of my information and nothing my account was locked due to my phone bill not being under my name. This process was utterly terrible my boyfriend called three different numbers and called Affirm about four times in one week so we can get this straightened out, and nothing no one helped us, they basically said we were S.O.L.
I understand the policy's and that they cannot be changed, but this is ridiculous. Never in my life has a layaway program been so difficult to sign up for, and I have done many of them. The reason they wouldn't accept me is because my phone bill was not under my name, which is absurd. I have wonderful credit, and I am more than willing to give them my money. I called Affirm and they sad there was absolutely nothing they could do about my situation, thus they did nothing to help me. Thank you guys for all your help, or not. :b Edited by jazzimine13 - 14 Dec 2016 at 9:43am |

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're having with Affirm. Many of our customers have used this without issues.
I could try to connect you with our Affirm Account Manager, can you send me an email "[email protected]" please?

I think you better off with Paypal Credit. No interest if you pay in full in 6 months. It's easy to use with your paypal account. I was declined by Affirm twice as well even I have 750 credit score. So I just use Paypal. No interest in 6 months.

I used Affirm to purchase my machine. It was simple, straight forward and quick. No fees, 12 equal payments at 0% interest. I used my company supplied mobile phone number without issue.
My order just hit Stage 6! Hopefully it's on the FedEx truck Monday evening! ![]() |
