Noob here. What's the best way to clean pc components? I've noticed a thin layer of dust is starting to accumulate on my graphics card and fans.

I use a can of compressed air, in short bursts, to clean it up. Some wipe down the blades, etc, but for me, the less you touch things the less chance of problems. Years of field experience has made me paranoid.
Don't forget to blow the air through the cooling fins, behind the fans of the CPU cooler, radiator or air. Dust can plug up the small spaces. |

I use this: http://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-ED500P-500-Watt-Electric/dp/B001U899HQ
It's an electric duster and i love it. Even have recommended it a few times and people on here have bought it |

Hi OccamsRazor,
If you have a accumulation of dust use can air and a vacuum cleaner to collect the dust you blow into the air. Just hold the vacuum a few inched from the surface or radiator you are blowing. The vacuum will keep the dust from resettling on the motherboard or video cards. Frank |

Oh this, this, so much this...
AW777 sold me on this little tool and it's already paid for itself. Of course it's a bit loud and drives the dogs crazy, but it just works. With all of the attachments, including the little brush, my 2 year old V2 is as sparkly clean on the inside as the day I brought it home from DS. |
