Greetings,
I have a question: I have a 100 amp electrical service at my home (instead of what I understand is the typical 200 amp service). I'm wondering if that will limit me in anyway when purchasing a computer. My heating is gas, my dryer is gas, my water heater is gas as well. Looking to buy an computer close to these specs: i7 950 120-128 gb ssd hard drive 1 Tb hard drive 5870 or 5970 Video card 850-1000 watt power supply. Thanks in advance |

In a word NO. That said it is a good idea to run a single outlet 15 or 20 amp circuit strictly for your computer and make sure it is properly grounded. I have my computer setup on a single circiut as well as my A/V system and that way I know I have clean power to them with no interference from the wifes hair dryer etc and I also know exactly what is on the circuit.

Thankyou.
No worries about the wife's hair dryer as I am not married. |
