I don't think it would be, but I'll ask the experts...
My fabulous little beast, Vanquish 2 (Ultimate), wouldn't have an issue swapping out the GTX 770 for a GTX 1070 (or even the 1080)? The V2L4 has a 600W PSU... Seems like it would be a whole new computer for only the cost of a card, and $379 sounds like a very reasonable offer. Sorry about the incoherence... allergies/Benadryl/60hour work week about to end. Morning Snaike. Well, the gtx 770 has a rated 230 tdp and the 1080 rated at 180 tdp, so the new card should be more psu friendly. Should be no problem.
It also uses a single 8 pin from the psu. That would be a healthy bump in gaming. |

If I may be so bold as to quote from Hamlet out of context:... "To sleep: perchance to dream: aye, there's the rub; For in that sleep of death what dreams may come..." |

"To be or not to be"..... OK, that's the extent of my Shakespearian knowledge.

You are, as usual, correct. "To be, or not to be" is the opening phrase of a soliloquy in the "Nunnery Scene" of Hamlet.. which also contains the couplet I have quoted above. |

Fun fact, I've been to Kronborg, but have never read or seen Hamlet.

That is a fun fact. Did you run into Bill S ? My son and I have always wanted to visit England, Denmark, etc to tour the castles. Someday. Very nice. |

I've been working the 2200 - 0800 shift (or a variations of it) for over 10 years now. The only time I sleep nights is when I'm on at least 5 days off. Anything less and I'll just keep the same schedule. Somethin' wrong with me |

I just work stupid hours lol. When I'm stateside it is just normally long days unless we are training in the field. When I'm deployed all bets are off lol. I've become accustomed to functioning on 3 hours or less of sleep for days/weeks at a time. normally I get about 5 hours though lol. So to end this cluster of words that may not be so coherent since i'm just now having my morning coffee. But the gist of it is I feel your pain about the third shift.

Work 7P-7A and longer on some days. Been doing this over 20++ years. Now that I will be 60 soon it's getting harder and harder. Especially doing 6 in a row. The "kids" I work with can't do what I do. Lol. This year I have vowed to not work as much OT.
Night shift ain't for sissies. Now back to the 1080. Wonder if my old system with the I7 990x could handle that? |

Absolutely. The x58 is still a contender. Pcie is 2.0 vs 3.0 for today's cards, but little performance loss and backward compatable. |
