The only major difference that I know of is the Deluxe has a 3rd PIC-e x16 slot on the bottom.Other then that the Deluxe comes with a free USB 3.0 front panel which will allow you to have x2 USB 3.0 ports installed in the front of a case if you are using a does not already have USB 3.0 ports on it's front panel.

the deluxe has better a power design and is better for overclocking. I would go with the deluxe every time in my opinion.

Ya sabertooth's armor is a design flaw IMHO, deluxe is a all around better mobo, just remember both of them can only do dual sli correctly and at x8 x8, only single card will give you x16 speed, but x8 is all you need.
