15.6" Lance

I am thinking of purchasing a 15.6" Lance with the only configuration being an extra 120gb SSD. Will this laptop perform well, and is it worth the price. Also, should I get the $21 cooling pad? Any replies are greatly appreciated, thanks .

How well it will perform depends on the video card you choose as well as CPU, RAM, etc.  It would be good to know which configuration level you're going to purchase.

If you are playing texture-heavy games, you should purchase a L3 or L4 configuration with the 880M as the 8GB of VRAM will come in quite handy in heavy-texture games.

Let us know a few more details about what you're looking at, and we can help you better, but a Lance will perform pretty darn well even in its L1 configuration.

As for the cooling pad, you probably don't need one as the Clevo cases handle heat pretty well.  At least so far with my Krypton.  Some others with Lance's can give you a better idea.

I have a Lance which I like very much and I didn't get it with a cooling pad. No problems yet :D
