Very epic. And yet at the same time epically impractical at the moment lol. Not to mention the wattage appetite this thing has is nuts.

There's no TV type 1 > TV type 2 differentiation between each TV type now is there right? At least not as apparent as back in the past.
So it's just a matter of preference between Plasmas, LCDs, and supposedly... Laser? Edited by Axel Daemon - 02 Oct 2008 at 7:04pm |

You will only hear that from LCD owners, no plasma owner sees no difference. Plasma is just purely more of a clear and crisp picture for regular viewing.
For games LCD makes more sense due to life span. bring me your best LCD under 8000 and I will bring my pio elite, if you can't see the difference, you can take both TVs home. I didn't' pay extra for the plasma cause I'm retarded |

I don't see why company are still working on actual TVs like this, they should all be focused on projectors, because they can make the same size TV, for a lot less, and it would be cheaper for normal people to afford it..

InFocus IN83 paired with a Stewart Filmscreen CineW (FireHawk G3)
That setup ought to give a plasma a run for it's money, particularly when watching at theatrical aspect ratios above 16:9, but I'm not much for TV.

I'm not saying it can, but for the heck of it lets say it can, you will spend alot more then a plasma to get that setup going.

The setup is apparently popular with Hollywood directors that want to be able to do film screenings at home, so I'm guessing it more than holds it's own on image quality .
You can bet it will cost a pretty penny. Between the different lenses for your projector, the professional installation of the projector, and then the screen, and naturally, the calibration of the unit... uh, yeah. $ cha-ching $
So will that $1000 be cash or check?
j/k
