Yes it is safe. Now if you have G-Sync or Freesync you can sync up your frame rate to your monitor refresh rate and have a smooth experience.
Gaming at 60hz is useless especially if you are running high frame-rates about 100 to 150. If you have a monitor that can handle 165hz you want to utilize it and it's even better if you have G-Sync or Freesync. Having a high refresh rate monitor gives you several advantages too in fast paced games like CS:GO, Overwatch and others. I always recommend if you can afford it get a G-Sync Certified (with the G-Sync Module) monitor not a G-Sync Compatible or Freesync monitor. I have the ASUS Rog PG279q and it is a 165 monitor. I run it 165 100% of the time. And so should you. Higher refresh is really only good on fast moving games like driving games shooting games and so on. I would not see any value in using a 165 to play WoW.

GPU fans? I let my system decide fans on or off. My GTX 2080 super turns fans on at 50 C. Otherwise they're off whilw gaming at very high settings. Edited by ThePinkGoat - 16 Sep 2019 at 3:23pm |

No it's not true. Temps can be different from build to build, location to location and how much you use your computer.
Just play it out of the box. This is my 2nd Digital Storm and I'm sure I be back for another before I die. |
