16GB or 32GB???

As everyone probably knows, I plan on purchasing a PC here in the not too distant future. My question is should I get 16 or 32 GB of RAM? I'm trying to future proof(I already understand you can't 100% future proof) as much as possible, e.g. 4-6 years. Also, what would you guys recommend for games like Arma, Squad, etc?

Games are barely using 8GB, so 16GB should be all you need for the life of your rig.  No guarantees of course, but 6 years ago when I was building my rig, 16GB was mentioned by some, not the more experienced, as a way to go for future proof.  I still use 8gb.

I agree with bprat22. I know a few gamers who are into 8gb and I think they are already highly satisfied. So 16gb should go beyond your expectation.

If you actually need 32GB, you probably don't have to ask.

Which is just me being snarky and saying go with 16. LOL
