So this is my first build ever
Im looking to buy I top of the line gaming pc to replace my old gaming laptop
Uses: Lots of gaming (specifically skyrim on high settings right now) some video streaming and other usage
what I have so far: I couldn't figure out how to put the build in here so here is the ticket number 605561

Any comments or advice would be appreciated I don't want to go any higher in price but would definitely be willing to go lower

Thanks

I think it'd help the experts, that'll come in later to provide help, to know what the resolutions are you planning to use.

There is no such thing as future proof, more power now does not mean you will be fine later.

anything over what I have down the there you would not notice the performance difference from, and by that I mean I can come and replace whatever config you make with the one below that I made and unless I told you I made the change you would never notice, well something in my build is faster so might notice my build performing better:

interesting... I had a couple questions
First do you think its worth it to wait for the new intel sandy bridge-e processors?
Second, is the added price of a SSD better than to non SSD's in RAID?
Third, whats the difference between the nvidia 570's and 580's?
Fourth, whats the difference between the Chassis?
Last could I add a tv tuner to that motherboard?

Once again thank you for your help

1. For 1900 x 1200 res there is no reason to wait.

2. you can raid 10 hdds together you still won't get ssd speeds, 4k speeds don't change in raid, seektime barely gets better in raid.

3. where it counts very little.

4. lot of differences but the hailstorm is for system with full lc cause it does not have great airflow, the haf x is king in airflow.

5. oh sorry, I forgot to put your tv tunner back, yes you should be able to just add the tv card to my config, just click on it and add it in.

notice everything I removed is because you won't want it or its performance gain was little but stress or heat was gonna be more problem then the little performance gain.

yes this is my first attempt at a custom pc and I did not really think about stress/heat

on a system with a SSD and non SSD what should I put on each? Main operating system on SSD and games on other or reversed?

Also do I still need the LC with the haf x and with the haf x is it  easy to upgrade components later?

HDD1 = fast small drive: os/apps/games

HDD2 = regular large drive: media/personal/work file storage

you never need lc unless you are a benchmarker.

case does not play a big part in upgrading components but what components did you have in mind?

Woooo, upgrade mobo? you don't hear that all the time, upgrade mobo pretty much means new pc, cause with that upgrade you will need new ram/cpu and between those 3 you are looking at a new pc pretty much.

but if you know how to change mobo, you should be good to go with a big case like haf, all that room make it easier to work in, and in this kind of upgrade case does matter, I was thinking you were thinking about upgrading gpu/ssd/hdd and things like that lol.
