Hi capto0924...
Sli does make a diiference if you want to max out games. Your resolution is borderline need or not need, but to build a system like this and not sli would be a mistake. Example...23"monitor at 1920x1050 res definitely needs sli to max If you do go sli the ps is 1050HX. The case we recommend the HafX as it's the best for cooling. But, as always, your call. The x79 platform you picked, Asus X79mobo and 3930k cpu, with blu-ray, MS Ofiice would be close to $3500 with sli. The p67 platform, p8p67 deluxe with i7-2600k and MS Office, bluray would be about $2800 with sli. The x79 platform does have 6 core cpu and the mobo has quad channel memory for video editing, heavy graphics work. The p67 is a 4 core cpu and dual channel memory. I don't know much about graphics or the requirment s so your call. You know more than I Lots to look at. Let us know what you think.. Edited by bprat22 - 14 Feb 2012 at 7:18am |
