1st DS Machine - Slade

Hello! Finally decided to switch back to a desktop. I chose the Slade and put way too much into it I think! My last machine lasted 7 years with a few minimal upgrades, but I blew the speakers and lost the main drive last week. That's all the justification I need. Sitting in Stage 1 now. Let the wait begin.

Question: I want to install every Steam/Origin/Blizzard/UPlay(?) game I have at some point. I assume the 1TB will handle many (but not all) games in the library. Thoughts on adding a 2TB SSDHD Hybrid drive? Wasn't an option through DS, but drives are easy to do.

You need to go with the 1000wpsu for possible sli otherwise a good 750/850w psu will do.

is this for gaming? if yes you have no use for that much ram at all now or later, and the speed of the ram you chose is too high, lower speed ram has better timing which is more important.

not sure why you didn't go with the 6700k oced.

personally I don't care for hybrid drives, I would also change your hdd setup. Can't you move just the folder for the game, so that you don't need a ssd for storage?

Gotcha, ok so sql and etc will need ram, cpu is fine for your use I guess.

For sli 1080 go with 1000w corsair, other then that you are good to go.

Do they let you know right away if there are any hold ups like that?

Btw after stage 8 comes 9 and that requires DST4ME to play/ Service your computer between the hours of 8am and 8pm for the next 10 years

Stage 6! So excited to jump back into PC games that I found myself researching ways to increase the draw distance in WOW using the console.

Pretty pumped to hook this thing up to the new receiver!

Even scarier - I think my character is at Level 1 in the starting zone. I got the game free from a prior custom purchase. The rig was "out of this world" at the time so to speak. Now.... It bricked the day I was going to sell it on ebay. Loading up a 10 year old game just because is how far I've fallen

Shipped out late last night from Sunnyvale, CA home of the world famous Sunnyvale Golf Land.

I wonder if the rigs leave the Fremont building and travel down to Sunnyvale before shipping out. At 65 pounds, I feel for the UPS person.
