What's the initial things i should do, when I unbox my Lumous? Just wondering what you guys think. Check for loose cards? Shattered glass? How about on initial boot up? I am gonna create an Admin and 2 user accounts for the wife and child. Then check for updates?

The first thing you should do is pick your lower jaw off the floor, then take care of business. ;-)

Yes, visual check that it arrived in one piece and no loose parts.

Get her all hooked up and see if boot up is ok? Then admire for a minute or two or 30.

After that, I don't think there is any real right or wrong as to order of things you should do. Get your connection going then add your fav. programs, import bookmarks etc. Been through it several times and I know I will not follow the same order as the last time.

Have fun with it.

Ok. Quick question. Got my Lumous, C drive is the 500gb Firecuda, and D is the default spinner it came with. Windows is on the SSD, so exactly what or what should I use the spinner for? I mean, windows won't let me use it for a system back up or anything, and it appears WIN10 likes to the use the default directory where it is installed for everything.

Put your data (photos, videos, music files, etc.) on it and use it for your Steam/Origin/Epic libraries. Bulk storage is for large files.
