Been fiddling around with my budget for a gaming rig, anyway came up with this ticket number - 207584, curious to what ya guys think. Mostly playing games like Warhammer, Crysis, Fallout3. I believe the native res for the monitor is 1680x1050, so probably would stick to that. Looking to get something that'll last a good while and be upgradable in the future.

well that looks good but needs some tweaks, but when you say upgradeable, what parts are you exactly referring to?

cause a new chip has come-out which will not work with the same mobo as the q9550 (penryn) chips.

Also for your resolution, 2 GPUs are recommended by DS.

You're already spending $200+ on the 790i and DDR3. So there is no reason why you shouldn't get the Core i7 920 and Asus P6T Deluxe instead (will be same price as 790i and Q9550).
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

yes, 2 260 GPUs is exactly why I picked it for you, cause with that monitor you gonna want to upgrade to that.

this way you can upgrade to future CPU with the same socket also
