i feel that this is a very obvious question, but...
1. what is the difference between the evga 3x sli and the 3x sli classified?
and
2. i'm looking for a monitor to go with my computer (estimated shipping time 5-15 days ) and i was looking at the asus vw246h. this thing looks SWEEEET. but, my budget is only 250-300, and the glossy outer edges of it kind of bother me. i would like a 22inch or a 24 inch, with nice res 1920 x 1200.

1. basically for people who want to push their own oc the classified is suppose to be a little better and the classified has its two x16 pci lanes at lanes 1 and 3 meaning there is room between cards if you sli/cf. the 3x sli has its two x16 lanes at lanes 1 and 2 meaning that the cards will be right next to each other thus having higher temps.

2. no sure, I'm getting a little better with ips panels but tn panels I don't know, all I can tell you is that the picture quality is not as good as an ips panel.

all you need is one gpu and heat is a problem with those only so unless you gonna go cf I don't see why you would need classified.

if you are going with two graphics cards and a creative sound card, yes go with the classified, otherwise no.

great choice in monitor!!!! it was a wise move to scratch the classi for a better monitor. a monitor is the window to your digital world... if it is not great then your entertainment will not be great. you really build a computer around a monitor so for future ref know your options or ask (like you did... we don't mind) so that you do not purchase over or underkill.

The Dell U2410 is a great monitor, in my opinion, and I love mine.  I mostly play fps games, and at max settings, with a 5870, I get way over 60 fraps.  If you decide to get the U2410, let us know how you like it.

Mine came with IE8 installed, and all of the features that comes with Win7 Pro.  I had to download programs like cpu-z, hwmonitor and realtemp, also had to download adobe acrobat reader myself.  Hope this helps.

After the Creative Labs Vista driver fiasco I wouldn't touch their products with a thousand foot pole:

Relevant quote from Creative Labs bigwig:

O’Shaughnessy also wrote that whether or not it cripples its Vista drivers is a "business decision that only we have the right to make."

Nvidia has had worse fiascos, same with ATI, and basically all other hardware manufacturers. I have yet to have any issues with Creative products  with XP, Vista, or 7

no the 3x sli can't do that, to run 3 gpus and have more pci slots for other pci cards you want the 3x classified mobo

matters the case, if you have enough PCI slots in the case, but you are going to be crapping out the PCIe bandwidth
