with that size monitor I would drop to a 750 watt power supply, drop to a 5850 graphics card, drop to a 920 CPU, and drop to the smaller noctua cooler.
this will lower this price, and not lower you gaming experience one bit.

We need to know the native resolution of your monitor first.

It doesn't say the brand name so I have no idea. OK, so I did what you said justin, and I wanted to know if I should get liquid cooling? Its only a 10 dollar difference from the stage one air cooling, so yea. I'm probably going to let my brother at this in terms of upgrading, so it's gonna be running a lot hotter pretty soon.Broken%20Heart

now that you changed it, if you want Nvidia, at that resolution, you could drop to a 470, and you don't need a 1000 watt power supply, unless you are going to add another graphics card.. go with the noctua cooler.. much, much better.

Go with Windows 7 Pro. That's a typo on DST's part. The upgrade price from DS is a steal, and you get XP mode for older apps if needed.

I'm not sure why the 1000W PS. Only if you get another card later, but by then, you may want the hot new card that's out instead.

the reason for the 1k watt is future proofing... also he may change his reloutution along with a card. these thigns you never know. this is set up so he can have freedom.

take a look between the 2 series and 4 series and the power requirements... he prob wont need a new card till the 6 series so you need a psu able to handle the future unless you want to buy another 1 of those too down the road.

yes go with win7 pro, I meant to pick that.

the 1000w psu is for future cf/sli, if he has not need for that then the 750w corsair will do.
