Is there a way to know before hand what GPU will be installed in a new build? At long last I have the funds for a new computer (6k cap), but I'm really hesitant in getting a founder's edition 2080ti. Not only this but the cost of a 2080ti unknown card in the config menu costs the same as the gigabyte aorus I can buy retail. I can install a card, but it's a pain to get a new computer and immediately have to open it up to install a gpu, and a gpu brace. I'd rather just buy and use. What are my options? ty.

You can request a particular part/brand, but that creates a situation where DS has to make sure they get the part you want. They will charge for that. You should call/email sales and ask all the questions. They may be able to tell you what they are using, and specify that for your build at no charge. The brands they use have to vary because they can't be hostage to a particular supply.

To the best of my knowledge, they are no longer offering the FE. When the card first came out they were specifying the FE, but now they are not.
