I noticed that the RTX 2080 TI now says that it is back ordered and estimated at mid October. Does this apply to orders that were placed a month ago, or just new orders? That seems like quite the delay.

Email DS. THE 2080Ti has pushed back release date by at least a week. That and it’s popularity might be going into the decision.

Yeah they pushed it back to yesterday. I imagine I am one of the first who ordered that card from DS since I ordered the day they were available lol

This is due to the lack of stock of the components and the adjusted deadlines of the factories.

I ordered a system with the 2080 TI FE and got notice today that it entered into State 2, does that mean that the cards for my system are in? I too ordered mine the day they were made available; ordered 8/22 and has been in Stage 1 since order date...

I am in stage 5 and they do not have the 2080 TI I ordered. So because they put it past stage 3 before all the parts were in, I can't even cancel without restock fee. If I knew nVidia would delay this long I might have waited for core I9 9900k to release. Oh well.

How much was the restock fee they mentioned ?
I guess it is possible to build and test the pc without the graphics card, then put in the card and run a final test. But, that’s a guess on their procedures. |

Thats good to know. @Dagok, when did you order? Just wondering since I ordered on 8/22 and you're in Stage 5 but I'm in Stage 2.

Just got a message from DS. They had the EVGA 2080Ti and they are giving me that instead of the Founders Edition. This was a very very awesome thing of DS to do. Thanks!

That's cool of them. I'm still considering ordering from a competitor. Confirming that the other company has two for SLI then I'll likely cancel my DS order. I'm in for a 4% processing fee at this point but the wait is a bit too much for me.

I'd personally recommend sticking with DS for longer-term reasons, however I totally understand the desire to reduce the wait. Time is indeed money, and I don't blame you for wanting to have the cards - I'd just make sure you are getting a comparable warranty/coverage, etc. We've found that DS has a better warranty than most (this comes up frequently) which is a big reason I recommend them, but again, your money your decision.

I can attest to DS quality. This will actually be my third system purchase from them. The previous 2 are still going strong, I just had an itch to go high end.

So after they receive the cards. do you have a sense of how long to build/test your system before shipping out? Are you going with liquid cooling the cards? Just wondering, if you were, what effect it's having on the build time. I have a build with them for 2080 TI FE cards and just sent them an email about options besides cancelling. My build has liquid cooling the cards, and with god-knows-when 2080 TI FE will actually ship, I'm afraid that my build may end up putting it in my hand mid-November (realistically).

I believe the founders will be going out at the same time as the 2080ti’s. My build is in stage 5 just waiting on the cards. I did get water cooling as well. Stage 6 they will be doing my overclocking. I think the entire holdup is based on NVidia. I will just wait for it as even if you went to another company it would still take as long and they would be starting from scratch. I am estimating my build to be done in 2 weeks or less. All dependent on NVidia.

Word is that Founder's cards are shipping SUPPOSEDLY early next week to us.
We were speaking with every manufacturer to get other models before hand but there is just nothing available. Most of the older pre-orders are built already just waiting for the cards to come in so we can put them in and test. |

Does anyone know if DS got a shipment in of the 2080 TI FE cards this week? Last post said early this week (hopefully), did that happen?

Not sure of they ever did get any. I know other people are starting to get their FEs. My order has been in stage 6 for 3 days but they changed mine to an EVGA.

Hopefully Nav or someone else will respond. My order is still with the FE's and is in Stage 3.

Saaame, I really caaaan't wait for the 2080Ti...
all the items I've bought before have never let me down so I'm sure it won't this time, more than so it will definitely provide hundreds of hours of a great-looking gaming fun=D i actually got some rocket league crates of special liquids for special occasions buy rocket league items and I'm looking for a new special game on the highest possible settings to test out them along what Ill be doing. Rocket League Crates are popular, but in dubious times trading in Rocket League is less popular than it was two years ago. This is perfectly evident in the trading communities on Facebook. There were a lot of Trade Items and Items exchanges every day, some of them really valuable to Rocket League players. Currently, however, you do not have to buy keys, all you need to do is buy or buy Crates. If you have decryptors, you can open crates - but remember, only Rocket League items opened using Rocket League Keys are Tradable. Therefore, a small part of the community prefers to buy ROcket League Items. I would like my eyes to be fresh and I would like to share more information with you about the crates and what I like about Rocket League. You can now buy elevation crate and all other crates, but the most valuable items are worth buying at Odealo Edited by grandLabers - 09 Nov 2018 at 6:12pm |

Those cards are notorious for throwing a lot of heat and over heating. I guess we will see how it goes. |

Congrats!
I called them today, which literally (no exaggeration) took 3.5 hours, and finally got some more concrete info on mine. They're saying my cards are in and we're waiting on the water cooling blocks. My system should be ready to ship 10/29. That's their best estimate at this point, was told it was pretty concrete, unless something strange screws it up. |

Ah I'm sorry to hear you had that experience on the phone. Their customer service, and business in general is def experiencing some growing pains right now. My Estimated Shipment Date as of the Stage 3 email today around 5pm, is 9-14 days. Here's to hoping both of our estimates hold up and we get these beasts within a month from now :) Best Regards! |
