So my wife's iMac fan was running on Full for a couple of days
and then the display started crapping out.

This computer was bought in 2008 and my wife loves it. I offered to give her my 27" iMac since I have the bolt and she said no.

So I spoke with Apple, took it to a local store and they diagnosed the computer for free and were going to repair it but no longer have the video card in stock.

I really want their diag software. It's F-ING SLICK!!!

So my wife was bummed, but I wasn't. I immediately hopped on ebay and started searching.

I found the video card and bought it
Found a repair guide on iFixit.com

Tore this bitch apart [WHich is like working on a laptop]
and Voila
It is fixed.

Took about 2 hrs of being careful and documented every screw and connector on a piece of paper.

I feel like this smiley right now

I took a couple pics which I will upload later.
But for now, i am have a Captain and Coke and am going to slaughter some poor BO II fools via my Titan infuzed Bolt
I hope they don't when I am done

I have the Apple diagnostics disk from 2011. My wife uses the 27" iMac for work. (I use it for play). I7 processor & a SSD with 12Gb RAM. I know they are made by slave labor, but damn they (Apple) have some nice products.

I agree.
Their hardware is slick. My 27" is used as my Bolt Monitor. I do all my non gaming on the Mac and all my gaming on the Bolt. This way I will never have to worry about malware
[Or at least barely, as I do have AV installed]

The new Mac Pro is being made in the US. It's a work of art. That will be the wife's next computer. She just doesn't know it yet.

She is a graphic artist.

One of these days I have to start working on getting MacOSx on the bolt so I can Dual Boot it. The hardware is all supported.

I already made my UniBeast USB flash drive.
It's just that everytime I think about doing it, I end up gaming instead
