240GB Solid State (By: Corsair) (Model: Neutron GTX Series or the 256GB Solid State (By: Samsung) (Model: 840 Pro Series?

Which of these SSD's has the best performance, reliability, etc...

I want one large enough to install the OS and FSX with add on's on it... plan to use a 1TB Western Digital Caviar 7200 RPM Black Edition for storage.

Both drives are excellent choices. Samsung is slightly faster and both show equal reliability. In real world situations, would you notice the speed difference, maybe...

Thanks for the info, both seem to cost the same presently but the Samsung offers a few more GB's over the Corsair.

I've seen studies that show Intel and Samsung in a class of their own for reliability, and Samsung has fantastic speeds too. The 840 Pro is priced really well for its quality.

I'd opt for the Samsung between the two.

My experience with Corsair may sway you in the tech support forum.  :-)  Through much informal research I too found Samsung/Intel to have the best SSD reputation.

I've got the Neutron, and I have no issues, but benchmarks favor the Samsung
