I imagine this has been debated previously but if you have a hard $2500 budget can you do better than the ODE level 4? If so where is the wasted dollars in the level 4 build that would be better suited for upgrading other components? I'm guessing there is money saved jjust because it is a mass produced build. Thanks.

well if we used the same parts I think price would be the same but the problem is that we would not use some of the parts in ode so the price would be higher.
but before I can try and beat ode, I need to know what you use your pc for? if its for gaming what is the res? money is wasted when you get stuff you will never notice performance from, and depending on your use and res, the ode 4 adn 3 could be overkill for you. |

It is for gaming. I play 1920x1080. In looking at the Ode's I'd probably go with a level 3 as I prefer the sli 570 as opposed to a 590.

Thanks man. Gives me a couple options to think about. Likely buying when the commission check rolls in next month.

The z68 is a good mobo too for the price, trying to stay competitive with the ode, but you can't go wrong with deluxe or z68 IMHO, the z68 has features that maximus doesn't, quicksync and etc, if we want to get technical that is, lol.
but ya I take z68 or deluxe over sabertooth of ode any day. Edited by DST4ME - 11 Jun 2011 at 7:35pm |
