I want a computer that will last me for the next ~3 years.
I will add a BluRay when I start collecting BR Movies.
I may add a 2nd hard drive in the future also.
My monitor is native 1920x1200.
I need this to work well for Raids (WoW) and other MMOs.

I will order this once the SV Issue is resolved.

I was looking for any comments on what/if I should change.

Thanks,

A 580 is overkill for wow if not all mmo's. I'd downgrade to a 560 or 570 max and maybe invest into a SSD to install your OS and your mmo on their, or just plain save the money.

I thought about the SSD. What advantage during MMO game-play would it provide? Faster FPS or just faster load time in-game?

If I could I would go with 16GBs of memory.

For games its really just alot faster loading times mostly. However I'd say that it'd be a much better investment then blowing money on a 580 if your main games are mmo's.

I remember locking up or getting disconnected on boss fight's on wow back when I played. Those faster load times sure would've been nice.

16Gb ram is way way too high. Go 6 or 8 gb max unless you're some huge multitasker.

Adding $260 for a SSD is possible. A quick load into a game after a disconnect would be nice and desirable.

I'm thinking of the GTX580 so I don't have to worry about any low FPS in any condition, ever, no matter what my future MMO is. Or for the next 3+ years or so.

Dosn't Windows 7 'cache' files into memory?

This is what I would go with. Config # 489993

You missed your free nvidia game.
Corsair psu has a better warranty.
SSD is up to you. Could always add one yourself down the road.
If you want more graphics power then a 560 go with 570 and OC it.

Mmo's are generally always gonna be less graphically demanding so the system requirements don't scare away potential customers.

That being said, the 580s price vs performance just isn't worth it. Especially for any current mmo. Just my two cents.

I think a GTX 570 card is the way to go now.
Take a look at this configuration: Ticket Number: 490012

Ask DS specifically for this fan to be added to the side, so you endup with 3 x 200mm fans:

haf 200mm non led fan

for mmo all you need is a 560, it won't let you down and can be oced to match 570 performance. a 570/580 is really a waste for mmo, you won't notice a difference in mmo at that res between 560/570/580.

Everything looks solid to me. Only thing is the zalman performance fans. I've read on here they are super loud. However I have no personal experience. Other then that looks like a good system to me.

Edit: Aww DST beat me too it.
